So we have a new member of the family. Meet Ovid.
He's a one year old Turkish Angora that we rescued. He was found wandering the Corniche in Dubai, very underweight and very scared. He's clearly had a lot of abuse in his short life and he was extremely hand shy when we first got him. But, almost two weeks in and you can see that he is getting pretty comfortable.
He and Nero are doing well, with just a little introductory hissing but no real aggression and I think they are going to be fine together. He is named Ovid after the author of the Ars Amatoria, which we thought was appropriate since he is a complete love bug who just wants a lap to cuddle on. Both Matthew and Ovid were asleep about a minute after this picture was taken last night!
