When you are looking back and thinking about birthdays past, I do firmly believe that the one where you end up in the ER with an incredibly painful pinched nerve in your neck and an entirely numb arm would rank up there as one that sucks. Which is what happened to me last Friday - ugh. It got better after a large shot of painkillers administered to my posterior and after x-rays they sent me home with enough pills to make me rattle. Still sore a week later but getting a bit better.
But my lovely husband did take me to the plant souk afterwards to cheer me up and we came home with a few new treasures at rock bottom prices. $20 for a pink plumeria, a moss rose and a mint plant, a big Majorelle blue pot and a 10kg bag of soil. We've now got our go-to-guys with the best plants out at the souk who remember us (we are a rather hard to forget pair after all!) and they are always happy to give us deal.
This Friday should be better as we are taking a road trip to Muscat in Oman for the night. Details on our adventure to come. ...
